Answer c. Love of money was in the air – Australia changed to decimal money on Valentine’s Day 1966.

Answer a. 4 notes were introduced ($1, $2, $10 and $20).

$5 notes came in 1967, $50 notes in 1973; and $100 notes in 1984.

$1 notes were withdrawn in 1984 while $2 notes were withdrawn in 1988.

Answer c. The 1966 50c piece was round and 80% silver. From 1969 the 50c piece was a dodecagonal (12-sided) coin and was made from a mixture of copper and nickel.
